Summary of SEA-Teacher Project Batch 9

I am very happy and honoured to take part in SEA-Teacher project batch 9. I got so many experiences and beautiful stories. Also, I met a lot of great, kind, and heartwarming people who made me feel comfortable to join the project.  During this project, I had a teaching demonstration at Future School. I found that the practicum helped me a lot to find what I needed.  I was able to improve my teaching skills and my English skills also got better. The procedure of the practicum was organized well and easy to follow. I think it's because all of the efforts came from the lectures of Dong Thap University and Future School teachers. During the practicum, I got so much advice, learned new things, and also found my weaknesses. However, I found it difficult to communicate with local people and students due to the language barrier.  My suggestion for this program in the future is that SEA-Teacher project should collaborate with many ASEAN countries and not be limited to the Philippine, Vietna

Teaching Procedures I had the opportunity to teach 4 times. I teach in grades 7, 8, and 9. I find that the teaching procedures at Future School are more or less the same as teaching procedures at other schools. Before I teach in class, I am asked to make a lesson plan first because the lesson plan will be my reference when teaching later. In this article, I will explain the teaching procedures that I apply in class 7. Like teaching procedures in general, I start the class by greeting the students. After that, I did a little brainstorming, the aim of which was to make my students recall the material they had studied previously. They are quite good at remembering the material they have studied. I then give a little idea about what topic they will study. The way I give an overview of the topic is by showing a short video and they will start guessing about what they will learn in this class. After watching the video, I ask the students to do the assignments in the book that are appropriate

Teaching Plan

Curriculum I don't know exactly what kind of curriculum the school uses but I guess it is some kind of international Curriculum due to their students' English books using Cambridge English. I think the curriculum is tremendously good because the materials that the teachers teach are quite challenging but provide interesting topics at the same time. Teaching Plan I made four teaching plans because i taught 3 different classes with 4 different topics. But i will only show two of my lesson plans. Teachers’ Teaching Method During observation, I found that the teaching method that the teacher used was almost similar to the teaching method that the Indonesian teacher used. I think it’s because teaching methodology has been learned universally by all teachers around the world. I observed two classes at the time. For the first observation, I got primary school in the third grade. The teachers use the role-play teaching method to engage better with the students. Moreover, students can also participate actively during the learning process. I found that the teacher had a particular method of managing the classroom, hence the students could pay attention to the teacher carefully. for example, the teacher would clap her hands very loudly to get the students’ attention, and then she said something in Vietnamese that i couldn’t understand the meaning but it made all the students quiet. Future School: General Information and Academic Administration

School Profile Future School is one of the most prestigious schools in Cao Lanh City. Future School is a private school with international standards. Future School was founded in 2010. This school has two main buildings. The main building is a school for elementary and middle school students, while the other building is a building for kindergarten students and an office or teacher's workspace. The number of students attending Future School is approximately 500 students with approximately 70 teachers and staff. The school has more than 30 classrooms and is equipped with infrastructure and facilities and infrastructure to support learning. This school has the motto "Pride of Future Citizen". Academic Support System Future School has prioritized its concern for a comfortable environment of learning and technological enhancement to support the teaching and learning process. It has a comfortable classroom with complete facilities and also allows students to take a nap duri
